Python Training in Heidelberg

I’m just returning from the first evening overview training of Python in the “Volkshochschule Heidelberg”. The training is fun; even if we so far only covered the basics.

It is actually fun learning the languages features AFTER having used the language in an application, e.g. in Google App Engine Tutorial

It is also very interesting to see that parallel concepts been Python and Groovy, for example multi-line strings, direct support in the language for lists and maps / directories, etc.

Botton line is: Python is cool. I recommend to have a look at it. And with the hosting offer of Google you immeadiately have a nice place to play around without investing to much into a server.
