jo-widgets – Eclipse renderer independent user interface toolkit (SWT, Swing, JavaFX, RAP)

I recently learned from one of our customer about the Jo-widget toolkit. Jo-widgets is a single sourcing GUI API for Java application and can therefore be used with Eclipse 4 application which allows you to exchange the renderer.

Thanks to Frank Gasdorf and his team for this information.

    Reminds me of https://github.com/mono/xwt from the C# world.

  2. Max says:

    A few month ago I learned about Wazaabi, which also describes ui widgets in a toolkit independent model: http://www.eclipse.org/wazaabi/
    I haven’t actually tried it out tough

  3. Wolfgang says:

    Did you find out something new about the Bling project? Their OpenGL based SWT implementation looked really promising but the website is still very mystic.

  4. Lars Vogel says:

    @Wolfgang, I don’t know.

  5. Frank says:

    Lars, I hope we’ll have a chance to talk about at the Eclipse DemoCamp Hamburg next month. It would be interesting what Kai Tödter would thing about this framework. I guess he has great experiences implementing different renderers for E4.
